You've turned CSS off in your browser, or your browser doesn't comply with the CSS2 standard. No one likes to be lectured on their choice of browser--trust me, I know, I'm a Mac user. But if your browser is CSS-impaired, well, there are several standard-compliant browsers out there (I recommend Mozilla or Opera, for all operating systems). You might benefit from an upgrade. The choice is yours.
About Robin
Robin D. Cooper is a writer, artist, and web designer who lives in Chicago, IL (USA) and really hates writing about herself in the third person--so I won't.
I've been on the Internet since 1989. I didn't start coding HTML and creating digital artwork until 1997. After various customer service oriented jobs, I landed a management gig in 1999 with a major ISP. I began as their Online Editor, a role that morphed into Project Manager, Team Leader, Web Developer, Info Architect, and a few other things. Today I'm their Site Manager for various customer-facing web sites.
My college career began at Michigan State University. From there I transfered to Columbia College Chicago and earned my B.A. My major was Fiction Writing. That's right, I said Fiction Writing. To any high school or college students reading this: Never let anyone convince you that majoring in English or creative writing will get you nowhere. There's a serious need in the corporate Internet world for writers and editors who can code correct, efficient HTML. Create a solid skill set to accompany your writing talent and you'll do just fine. My skill set includes HTML, CSS, problem solving, customer service, and graphic design.
I've been a Digital Divas member since 1998. I know Windows and prefer Mac. My browsers of choice (for both operating systems) are Mozilla and Opera. I have a thing for dragons. If you want to learn more about me, visit my personal web site: Spiritchasing.
